How Thee Nanny Service Began
As the eldest of eight siblings, caring for younger children came naturally to me. Babysitting was my first job as a teen, sparking a lifelong passion for nurturing kids.
After becoming a mom to a five-year-old, I spent a decade teaching in public schools, with kindergarten as my favorite grade. During this time, I also nannied for various families, discovering how much I loved it. When my second child was born, I transitioned to full-time nannying, bringing my daughter along. The supportive family I worked for made it a perfect fit.
In 1997, driven by my entrepreneurial spirit, I founded Thee Nanny Service. My experience with three local agencies—each offering vastly different experiences—revealed significant gaps in the industry. As both a parent and a nanny, I gained unique insights into both perspectives, enabling me to provide exceptional communication and service.

With over 36 years in the industry, including 28 years running my own agency, we’ve navigated countless scenarios and accumulated invaluable expertise. We’re excited to share our knowledge, experience, and love for family with you.
