I am often asked, how did Thee Nanny Service start?
Here is my story...
I am the oldest of 8 children, yes 8! So caring & nurturing younger children is something I quickly became very comfortable with. Like many female teens, babysitting was my very first job.
As an adult & mom to a 5-year-old, I taught children for 10 years in Public Schools. Kindergarten hands down was my favorite grade to teach! During my tenure, I nannied for various families & saw this too was something I enjoyed.
After my second child was born, I became a F/T nanny & brought my daughter with me. The family I worked with was very supportive & it was an excellent fit! Although I enjoyed my position, I had the desire to take my experience & industry knowledge to start my own agency in 1997.
I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit!
When I made the decision to transition from the classroom to a nanny position I registered with 3 local agencies. I had 3 VERY different experiences & quickly saw there were gaps across the industry. Having the perspective both from a parent & a nanny gave me a very unique insight to each side of the coin. Having this unique perspective allows me to offer a high level of communication.
Our goal is to provide your family & your new nanny a smooth transition with the highest level of service & commitment.
Allowing us the opportunity to use our knowledge & experience to guide you through the process, for your most precious little ones is not taken lightly.
I have over 36 years of industry experience, with over 25 of those owning my own agency. We have encountered many different situations & have learned a great deal over the years.
